Question: Does listing with the USPS Speaker’s Bureau obligate the presenter in any way?

Answer: Absolutely not. The presenter stipulates the conditions under which they are willing to meet requests for a presentation. It is the requesting organization’s responsibility to meet those conditions.

Question: What types of presentations may be registered?

Answer: The current topics are General, Boating, Cruising, History and Travel. Additional topics will be added as needed.

The fundamental requirement is that the presentation be informative, entertaining and relevant to USPS members. Political or religious themes will not be accepted.

Question: Who can register a presentation?

Answer: Only USPS members can register. Do not register a presenter without his or her permission.

Question: How do I register or change a listing?

Answer: The preferred method is to use the online form, which members can access from the Speaker’s Bureau website. You can also print the form, fill it out by hand and mail it to the database manager listed on the form, but this could delay the listing.

To amend a previous submission, please indicate the changes in the “Comments to the Committee” section of the form.

Hint: To register multiple speakers without having to re-enter the same submitter information, use your browser’s “Back” function to recall the submitted form and make the needed changes for the next speaker.

Question: How do I know my registration has been received?

Answer: Upon receipt of a registration form, the database manager checks it for completeness and sends an acknowledgment e-mail after the new information has been added to the database and the websites have been updated.

Question: Can I include program preview files?

Answer: Yes, program preview files are helpful and encouraged. Provide a hyperlink to the file in the program description field or send a PowerPoint or video file to Bob Schloeman for storage on the USPS server.

Question: Is a speaker’s personal information shared outside USPS?

Answer: No, a speaker’s information is available to USPS members only.
